It’s finally fall in Dallas! The temps are dropping, and the first sign of fall in Dallas is that low tire pressure light that came on my dash this morning. I can feel the crispness in the air!
Which leads us to our next tablescape design, crisp and cozy!!
This design is exactly what it feels like, a warm and welcoming color palette matched with sleek design elements to give a modern look to fall color trends. There is a reason rich burgundy, brown, espresso, and burnt orange are the colors of fall. Because they are the coziest of them all. They remind me of mums, apple cider, spices, pumpkins, and all the fun stuff I love to do during the autumn months.
Now into the design elements, this is where the crisp comes in. Modern, sleek dinnerware and tabletop elements add crisp lines to the overall design. The Matte White Dinner Plate and Bowl from Divine Ivy make for a perfect menu that starts with a butternut squash soup to warm guests up before the main course. Adding some autumnal fruit such as a pear gives this place setting an earthy element that reminds of Thanksgiving and harvest season.
Once the place setting is complete, time to move into the centerpiece. And this one was all about ambiance. I wanted to create a dinner party mood that would leave guests feeling warm and fuzzy inside. Hence the heavy accent of tables and lamps. As the dessert course comes and the sun sets, a glow radiates over the dinner party to create a magical evening!
Make sure to stayed tuned for next week, there may be a spooky surprise!
